The Fluido® AirGuard System is a unique system for heating blood and fluids from The Surgical Company (division Patient Temperature Management, previously known as The 37Company), a leading European company operating worldwide in the field of hypothermia. With the Fluido® AirGuard System, the company developed a unique and innovative system that warms blood and fluids using infra-red technology. This is a dry method that avoids the risk of waterborne contamination.
Durable hinges for hygienic use
The system consists of an IV-pole with blood and fluids warmer, an air guard, compressor and at the top two pressure chambers where the infusion and blood bags can be placed. In order to be able to open and close these pressure chambers optimally, the Surgical Company PTM needed a hinge that not only closes well, but also guarantees optimal hygiene.
Hygiene and user-friendliness guaranteed
Therefore, we developed a special aluminum hinge part that was polished and then anodized after processing. Polishing the hinge ensures that the slightly sharp edges of the hinge are removed, so that the gloves of the medical professionals do not tear when changing the blood bags.
